Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with Rare Exotic Plant Shop. We take great care to ensure your rare and exotic plants are packaged securely and shipped safely. Please review our shipping policies below before placing your order.


1. Processing Time

All orders require 2–5 business days for processing before shipping.
Processing time may be longer during high-volume periods, holidays, or extreme weather.

We do not ship on weekends or holidays.


2. Shipping Methods

We ship using the carriers shown at checkout. Transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed by Rare Exotic Plant Shop.

Common timelines:

  • Standard Shipping: 2–7 business days

  • Priority Shipping: 1–3 business days

Transit times do not include our processing time.


3. Live Plant Packaging

To protect your plants, we package orders with:

  • Secure boxing and padding

  • Moisture control materials

  • Insulation (when necessary)

  • Seasonal packaging adjustments

  • Heat packs or cold packs (when weather requires)

Seasonal packaging fees may apply.

Even with proper packaging, plants may experience minor cosmetic stress from travel — this is normal for shipping live plants.


4. Shipping Address Responsibility

We ship exactly to the address provided at checkout.

We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses

  • Orders delivered to the wrong address due to customer error

  • Additional costs to reship an order

Please double-check your address before placing an order.


5. Weather Conditions

We monitor weather, but it is the customer’s responsibility to consider temperature at the delivery location.

We are not responsible for:

  • Heat damage

  • Cold damage

  • Weather-related delays

Claims for weather damage require proper proof and an unboxing video (see Live Arrival Guarantee).


6. Delivery & Lost Packages

Once a package is handed to the carrier, delivery is out of our control.

We are not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays

  • Packages marked “Delivered” but not found

  • Stolen packages

  • Lost or mishandled packages by the carrier

Customers must file a claim directly with the carrier for lost or stolen packages.


7. Live Arrival Guarantee (Summary)

To qualify for review under our Live Arrival Guarantee, customers must contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • Clear photos of the plant

  • Photos of the packaging

  • Photo of the shipping label

  • A full unboxing video showing the unopened box through the entire unpacking

If approved, we may issue a replacement or store credit at our discretion.
Refunds are not issued.

8. International Shipping

At this time, Rare Exotic Plant Shop ships within the United States only.
If you plan to expand to international shipping later, we can update this.
